On Thursday, August 4th, a representative from Pioneer Credit Company presented a donation of $1,500 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. The food bank provides 13.3 million pounds of food annually to those who live below the poverty line in the Chattanooga area. With programs specifically for hungry children and seniors, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is active in its community to help fight hunger. This food bank is also one of three food banks in the nation distributing fresh milk to its clients. For every $5 donated, the food bank can provide 20 meals to hungry mouths. That means that Jeffie’s Choice, in partnership with Mariner Finance and Pioneer Credit Company, provided approximately 6,000 meals for people in the Chattanooga area!
