For 40 years, Feeding America has responded to the hunger crisis in America by providing food to people in need through a nationwide network of food banks. Today, Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization—a powerful and efficient network of 200 food banks across the country.

Jeffie's Choice: Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank on April 10th, 2020.

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank was formed in 1982 by a group of community leaders who made a commitment to provide emergency food to our neighbors in need. Today, the Foodbank provides food and other essential items to member hunger-relief programs in eight Northeast Ohio counties: Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne.

Jeffie's Choice: Southeast Missouri Food Bank

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Stevens Street Baptist Church on April 10th, 2020 to help those affected by COVID-19. Since the coronavirus hit, Southeast Missouri Food Bank is seeing about double the number of people needing food assistance because of layoffs. For example, one of our 140 member agencies serves 60-80 families on most Fridays. On March 20, they had 115 new additional families, and on March 27, they had 74 new families.

Southeast Missouri Food Bank is a food bank for southeast Missouri, serving more than 180 hunger-relief organizations across 16 Missouri counties.

Jeffie's Choice: Food Bank of Delaware

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Food Bank of Delaware on April 10th, 2020.

During the month of March as the pandemic began in Delaware and impacting the lives of more and more Delawareans each day with school and business closures, social distancing requirements and new cases being reported daily, theFood Bank of Delaware continued to operate and serve the community thanks to the outpouring of public support.  With your support and the support from the entire state of Delaware, they have been able to distribute more than 2.2 million pounds of food to hungry Delawareans during the month of March.  This is a 100% distribution increase over our typical monthly distributions.

Jeffie's Choice: Wiregrass Food Bank - AL

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Wiregrass Food Bank - AL on April 10th, 2020.

The Wiregrass Area Food Bank is a non-profit hunger relief charity that solicits and collects donated food. The Food Bank distributes this food to agencies feeding the needy in a six-county service area that includes Houston, Henry, Dale, Geneva, Barbour, and Coffee counties in Alabama.

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Food Link NY on April 10th, 2020.

For more than 40 years, Foodlink has leveraged the power of food to end hunger and build healthier communities in Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. Through good stewardship, innovation and collaboration, Foodlink mobilizes a diverse network of community partners to address both the symptoms and root causes of food insecurity.

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Stevens Street Baptist Church on March 6th, 2020 to help those affected by the recent tornadoes.

Stevens Street Baptist Church is a participating member of the Southern Baptist Convention, a national partnership of churches that help share resources, equip members, and send missionaries around the United States and the world.

Jeffie's Choice: Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $2,500.00 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee on March 6th, 2020 to help those affected by the recent tornadoes.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee opened its doors in 1978 with commitment from several community leaders. The purpose of the organization is to provide a central distribution center for companies, groups, and individuals who wished to help provide food for hungry people in Middle Tennessee.

Jeffie's Choice: Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank on February 20th, 2020.

The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank helps to provide nutritious food to over 31,000 people through our network of 160 community partners operating more than 260 food assistance programs. In 2017, the Food Bank collected and distributed over 4.2 million pounds of food and other grocery products; the equivalent of over 3.3 million meals provided to those in need.

Jeffie's Choice: Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida on February 19th, 2020.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed nearly 63 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMETROLINA) strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. SHMETROLINA has been in existence since 1981. They provide a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need.

Jeffie's Choice: Food Bank of Northeast & Central Missouri

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Food Bank of Northeast & Central Missouri on January 16th, 2020.

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to partner agencies across a 32-county area.

A member of Feeding America, The Food Bank is able to work with manufacturers, wholesalers, processors, growers, retailers and restaurants to secure donations and food at reduced costs. Because of these partnerships, they are able to turn every dollar into $21 worth of groceries. 

The Food Bank works with 140 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies to ensure food gets into the hands of those who need it most.

Jeffie's Choice: Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $5,000.00 to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina on December 11th, 2019.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (the Food Bank) is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for their friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for nearly 40 years. The Food Bank is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. In terms of total food distributed, the Food Bank ranks in the top 15 nationally among 200 Feeding America food banks and first in North Carolina.

Jeffie's Choice: Golden Empire Gleaners

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Golden Empire Gleaners on November 25th, 2019.

Golden Empire Gleaners’ mission is to help alleviate hunger and provide food for those in need in the Kern County community. They accomplish this by collecting and distributing food and agricultural products that might otherwise go to waste. Through the help of their referring agencies, they are able to distribute food to needy children, senior citizens, families in crisis, people who are ill, disabled, homeless or unemployed, and others determined by the Board of Directors to be eligible.

Jeffie's Choice: Maryland Food Bank $25,000 donation

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $25,000.00 to the Maryland Food Bank on November 22nd, 2019.

The Maryland Food Bank is a non-profit organization leading the movement to end hunger in Maryland. They have an extensive network of community and organizational partners across the state that distribute food to the Marylanders who need them.

The Maryland Food Bank supplies the food to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and faith-based organizations that serve food-insecure Marylanders. They supplement this work with outreach programs that provide direct food assistance, educate the public on the importance of good nutrition, and fight hunger through innovative means.

Jeffie's Choice: Trinity Cafe/Feeding Tampa Bay

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $5,000.00 to Trinity Cafe/Feeding Tampa Bay on November 22nd, 2019.

Trinity Cafe has merged with Feeding Tampa Bay. Feeding Tampa Bay serves over 600,000 hungry people across West Central Florida. For every $1 donated, they can provide 10 meals to a family in need.
